Shopping for a New Ford for Your Business

Are you looking for new vehicles for your business? If so, the staff at Kerry Ford can help. You are probably aware that all commercial vehicles offer different features depending on safety, use, and other factors. One of the best ways to discover the right commercial vehicle for your business is by speaking with the knowledgeable staff at your local Ford commercial vehicle dealership. Tell your dealer about your company and its transportation needs. It is also helpful if you create a list of what you expect a commercial vehicle to accomplish. For example, if you run a shuttle service, you will obviously want a passenger vehicle that has a solid safety record. But there are more things to consider, like gas mileage, ride comfort, and vehicle size.

Deciding Which Model is Right for Your Business

Buying a car is a big decision, and you will do a lot of searching and information gathering before making a choice. The same holds true when purchasing a commercial vehicle; only there are even more options to consider. If you are buying a truck or other large vehicle to transport heavy or large items, consider cab size. A smaller cab with two doors will seat two adults comfortably, but you will need something bigger for larger crews or if your employees need to securely transport gear with them. In addition to cab size, bed size is also something you need to think about. Bed sizes vary greatly, and you need to determine which size best fits your needs.

Determining the engine type and size of your commercial vehicle is also an important consideration. For transportation or light-duty use, it may be more important to focus on fuel economy to keep operating costs down. This could mean a small gasoline engine, or it could even mean one of Ford's hybrid options. However, if your vehicle will be hauling heavy loads or used for towing, then it makes sense to look into larger engines with the power and versatility needed for such applications. If you are looking for power and fuel economy, then you might want to consider a diesel engine. Again, talk to our team, and we will guide you in the right direction.

Almost all commercial vehicles will have standard safety features such as seatbelts and airbags. But depending on your needs, you may choose other available safety features. There are safety features available that will reduce the risk of accidents, improving overall fleet safety. There are also safety features that will directly improve productivity, such as helping workers hitch up a trailer easier.

In addition to the commercial vehicle's primary job, it is important to know if there are secondary jobs that will have to be performed. For example, you might need a van to transport clients to the airport, but you will also need a way to haul their luggage. You might need a commercial vehicle that hauls light loads, but it also needs enough power to push snow in the winter. In such cases, the Kerry Ford team can make suggestions to help you find the vehicles that best suit your needs.

Whether you are buying for a large corporation, a government fleet, or a small business, you have a budget to think about when choosing a commercial vehicle or fleet. Once this budget is discussed with the dealership, we will begin our search for models in your price range. At Kerry Ford, we do our best to ensure you get the commercial vehicle you need with the options you desire. We understand that your commercial vehicles can be a large expense, and we provide the best value for your money.

Buying commercial vehicles from Kerry Ford makes your experience simple and easy. A dealership with commercial services is a huge asset. For example, you get the newest available vehicles on the market, white-glove services that accompany them, and warranties that sweeten the deal. You might be considering checking a trade magazine or searching online for commercial vehicles, but that does not come with the services and peace of mind that our dealership offers. This is particularly true if you desire assistance setting up Ford's available commercial fleet telematics and connected data for your vehicles. These modern tools can help boost productivity and give you a better picture of how your fleet is operating.

2021 Ford Transit

Whether you are looking for a passenger van or a cargo van, the 2021 Ford Transit is as versatile as it is both powerful and reliable. This has been the year of the van as sales for vans and other commercial vehicles have soared in part due to the vast number of companies delivering to customers who are now working from home. However, this is definitely a trend that will continue in the coming years. Choosing the right commercial vehicle can be difficult as competition for delivery businesses is as fierce as ever. A business owner cannot afford to invest in a commercial van or fleet that fails to deliver, literally and figuratively. Thankfully, America's best-selling van, the Ford Transit, drives into 2021 with several updates for those who seek a superior commercial vehicle.

There is good news if you are in the market for a commercial van, the 2021 Ford Transit comes with new option packages that will simplify your delivery needs. With the growth of home delivery services, thanks to everybody who now shops online, the Transit line is a wanted and needed delivery vehicle. The new Transit features a standard 3.5-liter six-cylinder engine with an output of 275 hp, which is enough power to ensure timely and reliable deliveries. Alternatively, you can opt for a 3.5-liter EcoBoost turbocharged six-cylinder with 310 hp, which is a good choice if your fleet needs to transport heavier items regularly. The Transit can also be equipped with all-wheel drive, which will allow you to continue business safely in all weather conditions.

If you think the interior of a commercial van is not an important consideration, you need to drive around in one all day long. Delivery drivers will appreciate the fact that Ford has their backs, literally. The bucket-shaped vinyl seats aren't anything like you would see in a luxury vehicle, but they are soft and comfortable, which is important if you are driving for long periods of time. Better still, the Transit is roomy enough to seat two quite comfortably, even if they are wearing heavy clothing or are carrying tools and gear. Other comfort features include overhead storage, front door pockets, and front cupholders.

Ford offers the Transit two wheelbase lengths, three lengths, and three roof heights, so finding the van that fits the needs of your fleet is an easy task. There are also five different seating configurations available. The Cargo Van seats two, while the Crew Van seats five. If you are transporting people instead of packages, the Transit Passenger Wagon seats up to 15 passengers comfortably but is also offered with either 10 or 12 seats. If you are in the market for a commercial vehicle that handles well, offers a powerful engine, and is comfortable to drive, the right choice is the 2021 Ford Transit.

2021 Ford Transit Connect

The Ford Transit Connect is Ford's smaller passenger or cargo van and is not to be confused with the larger Transit, Ford's full-size commercial van. The compact Transit Connect passenger van is as versatile as it is affordable; it can seat seven and offers useful features. The only engine available for individual customers is the 2.0-liter four-cylinder, which offers up 162 hp and the best gas mileage of any non-hybrid van in the industry. However, commercial customers can also select a 2.5-liter engine with 169 hp and the option for CNG/LPG conversion. Compressed natural gas and liquid propane offer a more eco-friendly fleet solution without opting for more expensive hybrid or electric vehicles. The Transit Connect is small enough to fit in a residential garage yet big enough to haul the things you need to operate a successful business.

As for value, the 2021 Ford Transit Connect price starts at just $24,694, so it does make financial sense and is a smart investment. With the Transit Connect, you will enjoy a comfortable ride with all of the modern convenience offered in non-commercial vehicles. The Transit Connect even offers safety features not available with the competition, including pedestrian detection, forward-collision alert, and automatic emergency braking. It even includes a lane-keeping assist and other optional driving aids to improve fleet safety.

Available in two distinct designs, the Transit Connect can be utilized as a cargo van or passenger van. As a passenger van, you have the choice of seating six with comfortable second-row captain's chairs or seating seven with a second-row bench seat. The cargo van has seating for two with front-row bucket seats. The short-wheelbase cargo model offers up to 101.7 cubic feet of cargo space, while the long-wheelbase model offers up to 117.5 cubic feet of cargo space.

For the interior, you can choose cloth, vinyl, or optional leather seats and even the basic model includes an infotainment system with a 4.2-inch screen. You can upgrade to the SYNC 3 infotainment system, which features an 8-inch screen and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, which enables hands-free smartphone operations for safety. For even greater connectivity, the Transit Connect offers Ford's Commercial Solutions with fleet telematics and connected data services. These features will allow you to manage your fleet's operations more effectively.

2021 Ford F-Series

To say that Ford has an impressive lineup of commercial work trucks would certainly be an understatement. Many of you have probably seen these workhorses on the streets or on construction sites and have been thoroughly awed by them. That is what to expect when you have been manufacturing commercial vehicles for 35 years. Whatever the job or situation, there is a Ford F-Series commercial truck that can handle it. The only thing different about the 2021 lineup of F-Series trucks is that they are better than ever.

You need a work truck that can get the job done, even if conditions aren't ideal, which is why you should choose Ford F-Series. From the half-ton F-150 all the way up to the medium-duty F-750, these trucks are built to get work done. The largest models offer the choice between a powerful 7.3-liter V8 gas engine and an upgraded 6.7-liter Power Stroke turbo-diesel producing 1050 lb-ft of torque. If that doesn't impress, consider that these trucks work smarter with the available driver-assist packages that include automatic emergency braking and adaptive cruise control. That's right, a medium-duty truck that is as safe to drive as it is tough.

Let's discuss the interior. Ford updated both the F-650 and F-750 to include a steering wheel with cruise and audio buttons, a telescoping and tilting steering wheel, and a redesigned instrument cluster that is convenient and easy to read. Should you choose the diesel model, you can enjoy the rapid-heat cab heater that will have you toasty warm on freezing cold days faster than ever. Speaking of freezing cold days, work environments and weather can be unpredictable, so it is best if you have a truck that is prepared for the worst. Ford offers standard traction control that helps limit tire slippage on loose surfaces.

You will want a truck that meets your business needs. All Ford F-Series commercial trucks come with a range of cab sizes, engine choices, GVWR ranges, and capacity. You can even buy chassis cab versions that are ready to be outfitted for the specific needs of your fleet. Ford controls every phase of its commercial truck development, which means it is able to cover all customer service aspects from the time of purchase.
