2018 Ford F-150: More Horsepower, More Torque and More Max Towing & Hauling than the 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500

What are the two most important factors to consider when purchasing a new truck? Power and capability, right? Well, the new F-150 has both in spades. That's because the 2018 Ford F-150 lineup offers up to 450 horsepower and up to 510 pound-feet of torque, while the 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 lineup can only offer up to 420 horsepower and up to 460 pound-feet of torque.

And the 2018 F-150 tops the 2018 Silverado 1500 in terms of capability, too. That's because the new Ford F-150 lineup can tow up to 13,200 pounds (best-in-class) and haul up to 3,270 pounds (best-in-class), while the new Chevrolet Silverado 1500 lineup can only tow up to 12,500 pounds and haul up to 2,250 pounds.
